BELTON, Texas – Atrium Coffee Co. originally started in Temple as a drive-thru food truck, and in mid-July opened its doors to its first brick-and-mortar location in Belton at 108 N. Pearl St. This cozy coffee shop offers a wide variety of drinks and bakery items, giving customers a variety of options.
“I think it’s a huge thing to be listening to them, obviously you can’t make every customer happy in the sense of drink, but at the same time, you do want to listen,” Owner Kurt Hess talks about how making a lot of new drinks can be tedious, but is worth it in the end because the customers enjoy it. “We have fun with it, ideas come from people put together, and we’re coming up with recipes that way.”
Atrium has a rotating seasonal menu as well, with warm winter drinks consisting of flavors such as pumpkin spice, cinnamon, and cardamom, and summer drinks filled with refreshing, iced and fruity flavors.
“Every quarter we come out with a list of seasonal drinks. Some, like pumpkin spice you have to have every year, but there’s a good bit of them that are new and just what people are craving and ideas that we have,” Hass said.
Atrium cares a lot about their community and team. Authenticity is something Atrium heavily stands by, and they would rather give back to and play a positive role in their community. By letting customers and the team behind the counter be so involved, it creates creativity and pushes their company forward.
“I feel like just letting it be authentic, letting it be what we are, let the people tell us what we are is much better than us trying to put up a banner that says what we are.”
